Gion Matsuri in Kyoto
I’ve had the honor of participating in Kyoto’s Gion Matsuri festival, a celebration with more than 1,000 years of tradition considered part of UNESCO’s world heritage. As part of En’nogyoja yama float, I carried together with other 12 Mexican and Japanese participants a 1,600 kg cart around Kyoto’s main streets for about 5 hours. An amazing experience!
