JD-E Industrial Design Studio in Monterrey, Mexico specializes in product design, furniture design and strategic consultancy for companies in Mexico and abroad. We strive to create products that bring design into daily routines, combining cultural factors and technology, creating memorable experiences for all users.

Founded in 2012 by Jorge Diego Etienne, the studio has developed a flexible design process that allows it to work on a variety of projects in scale, scope and objectives. We work with companies in Mexico and abroad on specific products for commercial release, conceptual exploration for new business possibilities, creative direction and design consultancy.

Our clients include international companies Tupperware Brands, Rheem, Libbey, Concreteworks and important mexican companies such as Prolamsa, Arca Continental, BMC, among others. We collaborate with design galleries Ediciones Jalapa and ADN, and mexican design labels Not Waste, Pirwi, Lo Esencial and Casa Bosques. Jorge Diego is also Creative Director of Office Furniture company Ofimodul.

The studio's work has been featured at important design exhibitions at the Museo de Arte Moderno (MAM), Museo de Arte Popular (MAP), National Art Center of Mexico (CENART), Franz Mayer Museum, Centro de las Artes CONARTE, and has been exhibitedat the Contemporary Art/Design fair Zona Maco, Mexico Design Week, Abierto Mexicano de Diseño, and the Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño in Madrid.

In 2016 and 2017 we presented concept collections at the renown Salone Satellite during the Salone Milan Furniture Fair, as well as Sight Unseen Offsite during NYCxDESIGN in New York May 2017.

The studio takes special interest in collaborating with artisans, craftsmen and workshops in Mexico. We value tradition by pushing it forward through design. We create by experimenting, we learn by being curious and we help companies by looking at things from a different perspective.
