ictali
A tribute to Mexican furniture and craftmanship. Icatli is a reinterpretation of the Equipal, a Mexican icon produced since Aztec times. The idea was to create a "contemporary-mexican" design that stood up for our culture, traditions, and identity, but with a modern twist that would set it apart from antique furniture. Ictali was selected as a finalist among hundreds of entries for the Dimueble contest and a full scale prototype was produced and exhibited at the Guadalajara furniture fair.
